Work Package 4. Analysis and Synthesis of regional data and data-model interaction

This work-package will identify and assess the key processes, feedbacks, and  mechanisms operating during periods of high amplitude climate changes in the Arctic. We will determine the role of advective processes, seasonality, and feedbacks between atmosphere, sea-ice, and ocean driving the Arctic climate systems. A systematic comparison between model results and high quality proxy-based climate reconstructions will address specific questions about the dynamics of Arctic climate under various climate conditions and across rapid climate transitions.
