Work Package 1. Analysing Arctic processes and feedbacks with climate models
WP leaders: Kerim H. Nisancioglu and Camille Li
The principal objective of this WP will be to design and execute model experiments to identify the main physical mechanisms and feedbacks responsible for driving Arctic climate variability 15 to 7 ka. The use of both simple and more complex climate models will be a key component of this work. The simple models have fast computation times and straightforward analysis, allowing multiple sensitivity experiments. The inclusion of a more comprehensive coupled GCM will allow for further testing of the hypotheses and detailed comparison with the proxy data.
